Le Shad Impact a demandé beaucoup de recherche et de minutie, pour produire un leurre qui se tient en posture horizontale permanente il a fallu combiner plusieurs sortes plastiques de densité différentes. Le dos du Shad Impact est composé d’une matière plastique légère et flottante qui ne contient pas de sel, le ventre du Shad Impact est quant à lui composé d’une matière plastique plus dense contenant du sel. Cette combinaison garantit à ce leurre souple un équilibre parfait. Le Shad Impact se tient droit en position horizontale permanente exactement comme un poisson stabilisé dans le courant, en position idéale pour se faire attaquer par un prédateur. Sur twitch, le Shad Impact réalise de brusques écarts imitant un poisson en panique. En récupération extra lente dans les eaux calmes le Shad Impact se révèle redoutable. Le Shad Impact contient des arômes naturels de calamar lesquels ont été compilés directement dans la masse. Keitech obtient des coloris extraordinaires grâce à son procédé de double moule.
